If a u-joint goes, you will hear a constant clicking noise when making turns, regardless if 4WD is engaged or not. Web14 lug 2024 · A u-joint is very likely the issue, you might crawl underneath and grab the rear driveshaft and see if there is movement in the joints at each end of the driveshaft. Way to check them is just as you would expect--look for corrosion (indicates loss of grease), spin them in the air and listen for noises (either a whine or a rattle), move the wheel by hand, etc.
