I stripped and cleaned it again, and took multiple mags to the range today. Same issue. A friend suggested the ammo may not have enough kick to cycle the large slide of the G34.

For example a 115 gr +p would be " "hotter" than a 147 gr standard pressure. All else being equal the only difference is the weight of the bullet. The difference is the gen4 has a dimple right under where you circled and the gen3 does not. But it would have to got an FFL since the frame is the serialized part of a Glock. Mark the mags, and see if it happens with one and not the other. Maybe clean good, clean the extractor. If doesn't seem to work out, maybe Glock will need to fix. Good suggestions.
