It does not even last for 6 months on average. You can remove it by mixing ammonia and water at a 1 to 1 dilution ration. You can also remove it with mineral spirits and scrubbing. I suppose it might dry eventually but what I'd do would be to take a wet thinner rag and 'scrub' up the excess sealer.
