WebAug 9, 2004 · I have seen M16 helmets in flat mid grey( no hint of green in the grey) which the seller was adamant were naval issue helmets from WW1. I know the German navy in WW2 definately had a different coloured helmet as I have an Austrian re-issue m17 in a sea grey colour with double decals. Regards,REDRUM
